Emergency Response

KBR Government Operations provides a diverse range of services to all branches of the United States military and other Department of Defense and government agencies. As "Force Multipliers," we perform the support tasks that allow troops and government clients to focus on their primary mission.

For more than 75 years, KBR has managed and completed many significant projects around the world. We have invaluable experience responding to worldwide emergencies and crises, both natural and manmade. For example, many of the techniques and procedures we developed responding to incidents at large oil, gas and petrochemical facilities have helped us improve our solutions for other clients and projects around the world.

Our capabilities include assisting our clients with:
  • Damage assessment
  • Consequence management
  • Immediate response and relief
  • Damage mitigation
  • Project management
  • Reconstruction
Damage Assessment & Consequence Management
KBR can rapidly investigate and assess major natural and manmade disasters. Our experience spans earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, drought, humanitarian aid and explosions at oil and gas facilities. Our expert team of civil, environmental, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers and logistics and construction specialists can quickly develop an effective and responsive plan of action, including helping our clients to:
  • Assess risks and the stability of existing conditions
  • Prioritize relief efforts
  • Identify local resources and transportation channels
Immediate Response & Relief
Since 1989, KBR has successfully accomplished more than $3 billion in rapid response solutions for a wide range of clients around the world. We can undertake any project of any size, mobilizing teams of experts overnight with all the requisite tools and resources. Our pre-existing agreements with a network of subcontractors and vendors augment our resources and enhance our effectiveness.

Damage Mitigation
Following a disaster, mitigating collateral damage is essential to saving lives and reducing catastrophic costs. Mitigation solutions must be immediate and effective. Our engineers can identify methods and procedures to help stem further damage, such as flooding or structural failure, by making temporary repairs, restoring utilities, erecting temporary shelters and other measures.

Project Management & Reconstruction
KBR has integrated resources needed to plan, design, engineer, construct and manage reconstruction projects of any size, scope or complexity. With offices in 100 countries, we are ready to rapidly deploy and restore damaged infrastructures, facilities and the environment to pre-catastrophic conditions.
